Prior to joining the DHS faculty in 2013, Ms. White taught English Language Arts and English Second Language courses for six years at Postville High School in northeast Iowa. Ms. White also advised the yearbook at PHS and coached students as they prepared for Large Group and Individual Speech Contests.

This is Ms. White's 8th year in the Denver Community School District. ​During her years at DHS, Ms. White taught Language Arts 10, English 12, MS & HS Reading Intervention, English for Publications, Individual Literature, and Nonfiction Studies. She also advised the Denver Yearbook staff for five years and was the Student Leadership Team Advisor for three years. In 2016 she took on the role of Model Classroom Teacher; in 2017 she was a Secondary Teacher leader; and for the past three years, she has served as the Secondary Curriculum, Technology, & Instructional Coach. Ms. White believes that all students and teachers thrive when they're challenged yet validated and given the proper resources.
